Welcome

This is the first posting in my blog. I thought I would set this up to record my impressions on my first year of surfing, and I named the site Winter Surfer (真冬のサーファー in Japanese) because starting out last summer, I couldn't understand why anyone would brave the cold just to surf. Well, I got hooked, and with a winter of surfing under my belt, I feel like I can still reach back to my very beginning days and talk with somewhat of a voice of experience. Surfing has been a great sport for me, but it is full of quirkiness, so I thought I would use this site as a way to capture some of what I've experienced.
